Rule 16
Applying for Party Registration for Election Purposes
(1) Parties registered with the Commission as per Section 4 of the Act, who wish to participate in the election, shall submit an application to the Commission as per Schedule-12 within the prescribed period as per Sub-rule (1) of Rule 15.
(1A) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), a new party formed separately as per rule 5 or a party registered in accordance with the decision made during the resolution of a dispute in accordance with paragraph-9 of the Act or a party that is sure of such a dispute shall be registered for election purposes within the period specified by the commission. According to (1), an application should be made.
(2) The application according to sub-rule 1 should be given by the chief officer of the relevant party or the authorized person.
(3) When a party applies for registration for election purposes, it must submit the party's constitution, manifesto and annual audit report of the previous financial year. However, the party that does not submit the audit report of the previous year to the commission must also submit the audit report of such year.
(4) The newly established party after consolidation or merger shall submit the following report when submitting the annual audit report according to sub-rule (3):--
(a) Separate annual audit report of each party established in the previous financial year by the newly established party after consolidation or merger in the same financial year, (b) Details of the previous parties merged or merged by the newly established party after consolidation or merger in the previous financial year The annual audit report of the existing party prepared in a visible way.
(5) In the financial year of registration for election purposes, a party registered according to rule 5 shall submit the audit report of the previous party when submitting the audit report.
